Veterans Black History Month Celebration!

Join Scrub Hub, Veteran Peer Access Network, and MLK Behavioral Health as we pay homage to sacrifices our Black veterans have made. We will be honoring the living Montford Point Marines and giving them their flowers during this event.

Scrub Hub will be honoring our veterans by providing free oral screenings, distributing free dental hygiene supplies and resources, as well as performing oral hygiene instructions for veterans.

This event will take place on February 22, 2024 from 12 PM until 2 PM.

The Montford Marines were the nation's first African American Marines. More than 20,000 African Americans trained in segregated facilities between 1942 and 1949 at Montford Point, NC, and became the first African Americans to serve in the United States Marine Corps.
